A Georgian Evening

Every Friday, a group of students under the guidance of Grade 11 student Nick Ramsubick head over to St. Thomas’s Anglican Church to help prepare dinner for their Friday Food Ministries program.
Once a year, RSGC hosts the evening from beginning to end, preparing and serving food to the 125 guests who look forward to a healthy meal and some good company.

This year’s evening was on April 10 and was no different. Fifty-five students, staff and parents rolled up their sleeves to pitch in while countless others donated the food needed to make the dinner. Thank you to all volunteers and contributors, including Heather McGowan and Diane Pitblado, who helped to coordinate both the donations and the volunteers; Nella, who donated their kitchen space for one of the volunteer teams to bake over 150 cookies; and to Ms. Totten. When people ask what it means to be Georgian, this event is a great example.
