From the ROM to the Classroom: Young Scientists Ask Big Questions

When the grade 3s and 4s visited the ROM last week they came away with some great questions, including one about fiddler crabs: How do their claws work?
Given that their current focus in STEM is “How Things Work,” they decided to take a closer look through sketching, photography, and dissection. They also considered how scientists use and treat artifacts in meaningful and intentional ways. They did a wonderful job and generated some theories, and more questions, which they’ll continue to explore in the days and weeks ahead.
