Applying to RSGC
We are thrilled that you have decided to seek admission for your child to Royal St. George’s College.In the information that follows, you will find all that you need to complete the required steps of the application process successfully.
- Deadlines: We accept applications for admission the following year beginning in mid September. Completed applications must be received by Dec 1.
- Online Application: The online applications process will take you through the steps (and identify the information we require from you) in order to complete the application smoothly. Of course if you have questions along the way we are here to assist. Please contact Toni Nosworthy. See below for a helpful checklist to guide you along the application journey.

Step 1 - Learn About RSGC
Learn as much as you can about RSGC by reading all the information on our website; check out the campus slideshow. -
Step 2 - Book a Tour
[Highly Recommended] Book a visit and tour. This is best done before your interview. Complete an online application form, available mid-September. -
Step 3 - Upload Report Cards
Upload your son’s year-end report cards from the two previous years, as well as a current mid-year /end-of-term report card (December/January). -
Step 4 - Upload Birth Certificate or Passport
Upload a copy of your son’s birth certificate or passport. -
Step 5 - Educational or Psychological Assessments
If applicable, upload educational or psychological assessments. -
Step 6 - Pay the Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee. From September to October 31, the fee is $200. The fee from November 1 to December 1, 2025 is $250. -
Step 7 - Interview with Admissions Team
Interview with your son and a member of the admissions team. -
Step 8 - Complete the Entrance Test
Your son completes the entrance test (see information about the test, below).
Entrance Test Information

Entrance tests are age-appropriate and designed to evaluate literacy and numeracy skills.

Applicants for Grades 3 through 6 will be evaluated during their interview.

Grades 7 and 9 applicants will write an online test (Fee $125) at either Crescent School, Royal St. George's College or The York School. We are collaborating with Crescent School and The York School to deliver the test; students applying to one, both, or all three schools will only be required to write one test. We hope this will minimize some of the challenges associated with the application process.
RSGC receives many more applications to attend our College than the number of spots available. We typically admits new students in Grades 3 to 9. For your reference, the chart below shows a rough number of students admitted in September 2024.
Families are welcome to apply for Grades 8, 10 and 11 but we will only be granting interviews if a space becomes available, which would be after March 1, 2026.
