Letter from St. George’s College Foundation Chair and President

The St. George’s College Foundation was established in 1988 as a registered charity to support the activities of Royal St. George's College (RSGC). Our mandate is to serve as the crucial steward of philanthropic resources, ensuring funds and income are raised and deployed for the perpetual benefit of the College.

To maintain our position as one of Canada’s premier schools, it is essential that RSGC has an endowment fund that ensures sustainable and dependable financial security. This ongoing growth establishes a permanent financial foundation, securing our stability alongside the very best institutions. A thriving endowment enables us to continue providing the exceptional Georgian experience, now and into the future.

Your support enables the school to continue building a stronger and more diverse community. In an era of rising costs of independent school education, contributions to the endowment ensure families from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds can send their sons to the College and become part of the Georgian community.

Through strong financial management, the Foundation’s portfolio is positioned for long-term growth and stability. We are committed to achieving established return targets and actively monitoring all investments. The Foundation's financials are overseen by the Board of Trustees, ensuring adherence to the goals and objectives outlined in our investment policy.

If you would be interested in serving on the Board of Trustees, please contact Stephen Beatty or me.

We thank the entire Georgian community for its unwavering belief in our mission and commitment to realizing this ambitious vision.

  • Creating An Endowment

Over the years, members of the RSGC community have chosen to give back to the College in recognition of the outstanding preparation that was given to them as students. Their wish is to give other boys the benefits of the RSGC experience who can't afford to attend the College. Currently, the College provides financial aid to approximately 10% of our student body.

For more information on setting up an endowed scholarship or prize, please contact Maria Jordan at mjordan@rsgc.on.ca.
