Georgian Parents Guild
The Georgian Parents Guild is a volunteer parent association dedicated to supporting the academic, social, physical, and spiritual environment of the students and the school, in partnership with the Headmaster and the school community.
A Message from the RSGC Guild President
Dear Georgian Parents,
I am delighted to welcome all families to the 2025/26 school year. I look forward to serving as Guild president – we have a busy and exciting year planned ahead!
One of the defining traits of RSGC is its warm and welcoming community, and our Guild exists to foster parent connections that are an integral part of that. All parents are members of the Guild and have a place in our community.
What do we do? The school year starts with our welcome back coffees, followed by our Used Uniform Sales, parent socials for each grade, Cheese Sale, Mistletoe Market (with its accompanying bake sale, raffle, festive marketplace, cocktail reception and Holly Jolly Auction), Parents’ Connections events, Hidden Gems Talent Night, Frameworks Arts Night, Used Textbook collection, and many community service endeavours. These events, whether social, service-based or fundraising are about one thing: bringing people together.
Where do I fit in? We invite you to participate in whatever way works for you! Volunteer for an hour, a day or take on one of our more involved convenor roles. Or consider serving as a grade parent – they are instrumental in keeping parents informed and making our social evenings possible. Even if you simply attend one of our Guild meetings, come out to shop at our Mistletoe Market or decide to play pickleball with us, we are delighted to see you! My own beginnings were as a silent observer at the Guild meetings.
How do I learn more? Our (almost) monthly Guild meetings are open to everyone – join us in person or virtually. School leaders sometimes drop in to inform us about happenings in the RSGC halls. Scroll to the end of the weekly Friday File and you will find out about our upcoming events, with volunteer and ticket links; both the school
calendar and our Instagram page are also good resources. And you can count on grade parents to keep you in the loop.
I want to extend many thanks to the dedicated and remarkable convenors and grade parents who have already been busy at work to make the upcoming year a success. You can find a list of them all, along with a description of what they do, on the Portal – have a look and see if there is something that interests you. I also want to express my gratitude to Headmaster Beatty and the many staff and teachers who work in partnership with us to make all we do possible.
At RSGC this year, we and our boys will gather in old and loved spaces, and will also delight in the novelty of the new facilities that seem to magically spring up over the summer as the College continues to undergo its senior school transformation. I hope you will find a moment – or many – to get involved in a way that feels meaningful to you. Our boys thrive when they see us showing up for the community that surrounds them.

The Guild is pleased to host parent coffee drop-in mornings, where parents can come by for a cup of coffee and to chat and connect with other parents. The dates are published in our school newsletters.

Meet the Executive
Meet the Executive
The Executive is made up of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past President. We meet monthly to set agendas and discuss Guild initiatives, and prepare for our monthly meetings, to which all parents are invited.MEREDITH ROTH, PRESIDENTMeredith is mom to Owen '27, Sebastien, '30, and Tabitha (who is off to her first year of university this year). Her sons, with very different personalities and learning styles, have both formed enduring friendships and found a happy place at RSGC. Originally from Winnipeg (go Jets!), Meredith moved to Toronto back in the 1990s to attend law school. After many years, she left the practice of corporate and securities law. She has volunteered in various roles at her children’s schools and can be found driving them to school and extra-curricular activities from midtown Toronto and cheering them from the crowd.
DIVYA PAI, VICE-PRESIDENT
Divya, mom to Aryaman (Class of 2028), is thankful for opportunities to volunteer with the Guild, including as class parent and grade parent convenor. Her family is grateful to be part of our warm and collaborative school community. Divya is honoured to serve on the Executive and to help support our community through the Guild. She spent her childhood in India and studied in Europe and the US before moving to Toronto Divya previously had careers at IBM and SickKids International in roles spanning Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources. Divya lives with her family in the east end and works with her overseas family’s textile business.
PATRICIA QUINTERO, TREASURER
Patricia is mom to John '27. Patricia has volunteered at RSGC in many different roles since her son John joined the school in Grade 3. She’s been a class parent multiple times and supported the Guild on a regular basis. She loves RSGC because it has been a great place for John to thrive. Patricia also has a digital marketing consulting business, teaches digital marketing and volunteers with other organizations. Originally from Colombia, she has lived in Toronto for 21 years and lives not far from the school.
AIMEE BEESTON, SECRETARY
Aimee, mom to Max ’27 and Lucy (Havergal ’29), is thrilled to be part of the Guild next year. Aimee has volunteered in various roles during her first two years as a member of the Georgian community and knew right away that she wanted to be more involved. She is looking forward to her role as Secretary and to working closely with the entire Guild. Aimee is from Toronto and attended Dalhousie University. She brings a background in brand marketing and strategy at Nike, as well as coaching and mentorship, and can often be found on the sidelines of a field, rink, or court.JOELLE CRAIG, PAST PRESIDENTJoelle Craig is a design professional with over 25 years of experience in architecture and interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Waterloo. Joelle began her career in traditional architectural practice before transitioning into interiors—driven by a deep appreciation for the impact of thoughtful, well-crafted spaces. For 15 years, she led her own design studio, shaping environments across the workplace, retail, and residential sectors. Now an Associate at iN Studio, she focuses primarily on workplace design, delivering creative solutions for industry leaders and high-profile organizations looking to reimagine how they work. Joelle has been an active member of the Guild for the past eight years and served as President in 2024–25. She is also the proud parent to Aiden, Class of 2027. -
Getting Involved
The Georgian Parents Guild exists with and for the parents. Simply by being an RSGC parent, you are a member of the Guild. So parental involvement is key! We benefit from parents who volunteer to organize and support activities, and parents who attend and participate in activities.
If you’d like to volunteer your time, look for announcements in the Friday File and through Class Parent communications. If you’d like to be more involved, please drop Divya Pai a line.
