Curiosity Meets Creativity: Grade 8 Students Lead the Way in Hands-On STEM Challenges
Can you predict how many cups will match a given height? How deep will a boat sink when weight is added? How much macaroni will it take to fill a rectangle?
Our students didn’t just answer these questions — they designed the experiments themselves. Over three hands-on lab days, they worked in teams to gather data, look for patterns, and make predictions. Along the way, unexpected variables challenged their methods and sparked rich conversations about accuracy, decision-making, and what it takes to reach a meaningful conclusion.
