Junior School

Transdisciplinary Project

What do baseball, dogs, and mythical creatures have in common? At RSGC, students in Grades 3 to 6 dive into year-long personal inquiry projects driven by their own curiosity. With hands-on exploration and creative problem-solving, they take the lead in their learning.
Students in Grades 3 to 6 embark on a year-long transdisciplinary personal inquiry project that celebrates and nurtures their natural curiosity.

Students develop their own questions, make plans for exploration, and engage in meaningful, hands-on learning. Whether speaking with experts, conducting research, building models, or experimenting, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning.

Sample guiding inquiry questions from previous years:
  • What makes a great baseball outfielder?
  • How can I better understand my dog?
  • How does roller coaster physics work?
  • How can I make an engaging game with my knowledge of mythical creatures?
