Dr. Giles Bryant Memorial Service and Reception

Please let us know if you will attend.

At the end of November, 2025, we lost Canon Dr. Giles Bryant.
He served as choirmaster at RSGC for many years, and after handing the baton to his successor, Douglas Jamieson, he remained an integral part of the choral music program, accompanying the choir at the organ both in weekly Evensongs and on choir tours abroad.

It was Dr. Bryant’s fond wish that there be a memorial service in his honour at the school.

All are invited back to RSGC to remember our dear friend and Warden of the College on May 23.

2:00 pm - Memorial Service in the Chapel (featuring RSGC alumni choristers)
3:00 pm - Reception under the Tent

Join the Alumni Choir to Celebrate Dr. Bryant

We hope the best way to honour Dr. Bryant is with the choral music he helped us learn to love – so a feature of the service will be a choir made up of RSGC alumni. If you would like to take part, please use the link below to complete a form indicating your interest. This would involve arriving before the service for a rehearsal – the repertoire should meet us where we are, drawing on our experience singing at the school. But we would also love to hear whether choral music is a part of your life beyond your time at RSGC, so please take a moment to share.

Please fill out this brief form – would you like to sing?
