The boys had a wonderful first session (depsite Halloween excitement!) making sweet shortcrust pastry from In the French kitchen with kidsand filling it with apples and sugar for a quick seasonal dessert! We learned how to: tie aprons, wash hands, keep our hands quiet when we're not working, good listening skills, how to use a rolling pin, how to peel and slice apples, how to form a galette, how to clean up (including stacking the disheasher) and we learned to identify parts of a recipe. I'd say that's pretty good going for cooking in Halloween costumes!
