University Counselling

The Director of University Counselling works closely with each student to help them identify the post-secondary path that best suits their interests and goals. Each year, nearly 50 universities from around the world visit RSGC to meet with students individually or in small groups. Our rigorous academic program equips students for success in their chosen post-secondary pursuits. The RSGC Alumni Association also hosts a variety of events each year to support students in preparing for a smooth transition to university. A select number of graduates choose to defer their university entrance to pursue a Gap Year, working closely with our Coordinator of Global Partnerships and Real World Connections to plan a meaningful and transformative experience.

Ian A. Fleming, Director of University Counselling, takes a student-centered approach that combines academic advising best practices with mindfulness and psychotherapeutic principles. At RSGC, students are guided to do more than simply gain university admission. We emphasize effective decision-making, self-reflection, and values exploration to ensure each student finds the post-secondary path that is the right fit for them.
