3-4s Bring Learning to Life by Planting Indigenous 'Three Sisters' Garden

The 3-4s planted the plants they have been growing indoors. In STEM, they have been studying plants and soils, focusing on corn, beans, and squash, the Three Sisters of Indigenous planting.
They explored why these plants are traditionally grown together and how they are native to this area. In STEM, they examined what plants need to grow and what healthy soil looks like. Students tracked and journaled their plants' growth and were excited to give them a home outdoors at RSGC before taking them home.
