U16 Soccer Team Wins CISAA Silver Medal

The U16 soccer team braved the cold, wet weather to play in the U16 soccer CISAA soccer Final Four.
After an unexpectedly long bus ride, the team arrived in St. Catharine’s to take on the host Ridley Tigers in the semi-final. Spirits were disheartened as the guys gave up a goal in the first minute and looked as if the Tigers were ready to roar. Patience and better soccer skill won out eventually as your Knights scored three unanswered goals by Theo Ochrym to go up 3-1, eventually winning 4-2.

The finals occurred an hour later, where the boys came up on the losing end of a 3-1 score. Down 2-1 for most of the game, the Knights couldn’t find the next goal and eventually the TCS forwards scored the third goal on what seemed like 25 shots. Ryan Turnbull was outstanding in net! The team owes a lot to leadership provided by Grade 10 students Aaron Brady, Aidan Nella, Ben Strain and Lucas Livingston.
