Important Dates

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 7, 2016, with the Grade 9s leaving on their outdoor education trip on Tuesday, September 6. Detailed schedules for orientation will be provided to parents in August. Stay tuned!

Uniforms

The Dragon's Lair is our one-stop shop for uniform items, school supplies and fun RSGC swag. The shop is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 4:00 pm during the school year, with summer hours beginning the week of June 15. Summer hours are as follows:


For new families, please book an appointment to fit your son for his new RSGC uniform, so we can assist with your purchase. Each fitting takes about 45 minutes and your son must attend the fitting. You can also buy your son's school supplies in the Lair, so there is no need to wait in the back-to-school lines!

Lunch Program 2016-17

Many of our students enjoy the convenience of the RSGC Lunch Program. A three-week revolving menu is used to provide variety. The menu has been analyzed by a dietician and offers a reasonably balanced and nutritious diet. Portion sizes meet the needs of the various grade levels of the students. In the event that the main menu item does not suit a particular student, an alternative is always offered. For more information and samples of the weekly menu, please see this brochure.

TTC Ticket Program 2016-17

RSGC has established a goal of becoming a model urban school. In accordance with our traffic demand management plan, we prefer that our students travel to and from school on public transit, once their parents feel that they are old enough to do so. We recognize that this is a family decision. To promote our goal, we are pleased to offer TTC tickets to RSGC students at a significant discount. There are three TTC stops in the immediate vicinity, all within a five minute walk of the school: Bathurst station on the Bloor/Danforth line, and the Spadina/Walmer and Dupont stations on the Yonge/University line.
