This term, Parent Connections is supporting the RSGC Reads "Conversations about Reconciliation" event by hosting a Book Club Tea on Wednesday, March 29.
Tickets are $40 and include light refreshments and a glass of wine at The Walton, a cozy and charming west-end café. There will be a brief presentation on the text, and time to discuss ideas and ask questions over tea.
The focus is Joseph Boyden's Wenjack, a novel about the tragic death of Chanie Wenjack in 1966: this is the primary inspiration for the activism and artistry to be explored via panel discussion at the RSGC Reads event at 7:00 pm on March 30.
Copies of Wenjack are available for sale from Dianne Ryan in the front office at a cost of $11.21 each. Secret Path is also available for $24. Boys may collect a copy on a parent's behalf and charge it to their school account.
