RSGC sporting life 10k group

Sporting Life 10K

Over 80 members of the Georgian community spent Mother’s Day morning running down Yonge Street for the Sporting Life 10K. Joining almost 17,500 athletes, Georgian students, staff, parents, alumni and past parents sported their distinctive Manners Maketh Men shirts for the race.
Of special note, Grade 10 student Devin Chapple finished 30th overall and placed second in his age group. Will Rand and Tilson Mann-Shaw from Grade 3 were the youngest runners, both of whom were joined by their entire families. There were many parent/son combinations, brothers and couples all running together. Many runners posted personal best times.

The RSGC team managed to raise over $8,300 for Camp Ooch, sending two children to camp for two weeks each.

Definitely an impressive feat by our community. Congratulations to all runners and we’ll see you again next year!
