Mr. Van Herk, Director of University Counselling, works with students and parents in all grades to help them best prepare for the university application and admission process. This process intensifies in the graduating year with a grad retreat early in the fall and a series of individual counselling appointments. Mr. Van Herk also assists students in arranging visits to university campuses and in completing their applications for admission and scholarship.
Every fall, RSGC arranges for over thirty presentations at the school by university representatives, both Canadian and international. In addition, we host two parent information nights: one in the fall for parents of graduating students and one in the second term for parents of students in grades eight through eleven. Students in all grades are encouraged to drop in to the counselling office any time to ask questions and find out more about colleges and universities.
